Parents Seminras - An Action Team on Basic Education Support

Feedback / Discussion Platform for local parents/guardians-

Every term we had the opportunity to meet and discuss progress – challenges and opportunities with parents. As stakeholders’ parents are updated on the best practices in helping their underperforming learners at home.

This platform for parents also educates and empower parents to pay informed attention on their children academic life. Parents Action Team allows parents as beneficiaries to cope and manage their children school performance with ease. Parents participation is central to all the services to the learners we serve.

Their role is beyond just term’s meetings and seminars but they were also funders of the services.

Eductional Discovery Tours

Learning in assorted ways can appeal to varied learning styles, helping children to succeed whether they are visual, auditory or kinetic, Field trips give students educational experiences away from their regular environment. Popular field trip sites include zoos, nature centers, community agencies such as fire stations and hospitals, government agencies, local businesses and science museums. Not only do field trips provide alternative educational opportunities for children. Students visiting different educational facilities learn in a more hands-on and interactive manner than they do in school.

Student and Retired Teachers Action Hub

Implimentation Team - 30+ per annum - Representated from mainly Unisa, UJ and Wits

The engagement of student and retired teachers advance both the learner and the teacher. Student teachers are enabled the opportunity to continuously practice their craft while retired and active educators serve as mentors with an opportunity to go further with their passion of teaching. Our learners and parents received both of the best worlds i.e. pure experience and excitement of teachers to be (Student teachers), and pure experienced care and support from retired teachers. The platform strengthens our impact and demonstrate real remedial practices. Our effort of coaching becomes easier and less expensive on training and development of the implementation team. These groups of educators are a strength of Pecop Programs.

TRIBE - Weekly Teen Talks

Teenager Responsible of building Ekasi

Mr. Phakathi has recommended five moral values for all his children since 1997, and these are encouraged throughout the year by coaches in the classrooms and on the playing field, i.e. 1) Respect: One of the most important values to teach your children is respect, 2) Obedience: Obedience is something that doesn’t come naturally, for any of us!, 3) Politeness: Remembering to say “please” and “thank you” isn’t a difficult task, but if kids are never taught or reminded, they will never do it, 4) Responsibility: Believe it or not, children can be taught responsibility from a young age!, 5) Humility: Having humility has to do with not being prideful over accomplishments and achievements, but for children, it’s more about knowing to say they are sorry for acting up or doing something they shouldn’t.
